Normally with cover songs you react in one of two extremes; you either love it more than the original, or you loathe it. Rarely do I come across a song where I love the original and a cover equally as much. 

So today I am sharing this anomaly with you =) Hope you enjoy them both as much as I do!

I heard this song playing in the back of a promotional video for a charity and loved it. 

I searched some of the lyrics and found out it was "Children of God" by Third Day. I downloaded it yesterday and have been listening to it on repeat ever since.

What comes as a surprise to a lot of my friends is the ever growing playlist of instrumental music I have on my ipod (which is currently at the 100 mark). Listening to music while I'm studying  helps me to concentrate, but it can't have lyrics otherwise I get distracted. 

While a lot of the instrumentals I have are from movie soundtracks like Narnia, Transformers, and Little Women. I also have a love for piano, which I think is the most beautiful instrument EVER! I recently discovered the music of Helen Jane Long, who is a British composer, musician, and pianist. I've absolutely fallen head over heals for her album Porcelain.

For those of you who don't know, I am a MASSIVE One Direction fan! 

And yesterday their new single came out!!!

 I must say I am a little disappointed in the lyrical content of "Live While We're Young," but with it's upbeat and catchy tune I still find myself singing it all the time, and now you will be too.

I'm sure a lot of you have heard the song "Lights" by Ellie Goulding, which is on the radio every five minutes and currently #35 on itunes top 100. A recent Youtube excursion not only got me hooked to her music, but I've come to the conclusion that she sounds even more amazing accoustic than she does on her CD. 

I've been watching the below videos over and over, the last few days and found myself wishing she had an acoustic version of her album for sale!
