Tune In Tuesday: "Fast Car"

Tune In Tuesday is a weekly feature in which bloggers get to showcase another one of their loves, music! The feature is hosted by Ginger over at GReads! but until further notice you can find it over at Kate’s Tales of Books and Bands.

Normally with cover songs you react in one of two extremes; you either love it more than the original, or you loathe it. Rarely do I come across a song where I love the original and a cover equally as much.
So today I am sharing this anomaly with you =) Hope you enjoy them both as much as I do!

Original- Fast Car by Tracy Chapman

Cover by Boyce Avenue & Kinna Granis

How do you feel about cover songs? Do you love or loathe them?

  1. I remember "Fast Car"! :) I agree with you -- I like the cover as much as the original. Thanks for sharing!

My pick for this week is here.

  2. I loved Fast Car when it came out.

Both versions are great. The lyrics are so beautiful.

  3. You can tell we are different generations. Am not familiar with Tracy Chapman. Enjoyed both versions.

  4. Boyce Avenue has a way with covers! I love the original and this one so much <3 I can listen to practically any cover he does and I am a fan.

Also, if you haven't yet, check out Chester See. His covers are great! Chester and Tiffany Alvord sing The One That Got Away. I love it so much more than the original by Katy Perry!

  5. I agree with Katelyn, Boyce Avenue has a way with covers. AND Kina Grannis? I love her too! Been following her since her early youtube days. lol. Thanks so much for sharing the original by Tracy Chapman, too. It's such a classic! :)
